Enables the use of most features of a CFW
Works on PS3 models that are not compatible with CFW
Installation takes place online on the PS3
Can be installed directly on OFW 4.80 - 4.82 (CEX)
Can be installed directly on OFW 4.82 - 4.84 (DEX)
Can be installed on Hybrid Firmware (HFW) 4.83 - 4.93 (CEX)
If OFW 4.83 - 4.93 is installed, it is mandatory to install a corresponding HFW.

Check the currently installed PS3 firmware (XMB: Settings → System Settings → System Information)
For OFW 4.83 through 4.93, install the corresponding Hybrid Firmware (HFW 4.90 through 4.93; see the menu at the top left)
Disable automatic updates on your PS3
Set the correct date and time on your PS3
Connect your PS3 to the internet (recommended: LAN cable)

Launch the internet browser on the PS3 from the Network section in the XMB.
Press Triangle and under Tools, make sure that cookies and JavaScript are enabled
Under Tools, ensure that Confirm Browser Close is set to Off.
Select Tools → Home Page → Use Blank Page
Select Tools → Delete Cookies
Select Tools → Delete Search History
Select Tools → Delete Cache
Select Tools → Delete Authentication Information
Close the browser with Circle
Restart the browser on the PS3
Open Triangle 🠖 File 🠖 Enter URL and enter the HEN Installer URL without www (see below)
Press Start twice on the controller
You should now see the HEN Installer home screen
Select your language here
Follow the instructions
After successful installation, restart the PS3 if it does not do automatically

Once the HEN has been successfully installed, you'll find the new icon ★ Enable HEN under Games in the XMB
Launch ★ Enable HEN and it will run and bring you back to the XMB
Under Games you should now find the entry ★ Package Manager
If the system restarts or crashes, try again. It doesn’t always work on the first attempt
HEN must be reactivated every time the PS3 is restarted
HEN also works when you are not connected to the internet
If you update PS3HEN and previously had webMAN MOD installed, you must also update or reinstall it
If you reinstall or update your PS3's firmware, PS3HEN must also be reinstalled.

Never activate FSM (Factory Service Mode) while using HEN, and under no circumstances should you install CCAPI.
Doing so will brick your PS3!
