With the PS3 Hybrid Firmware 4.91, it is possible to install PS3HEN 3.6.0 on any PS3

The HFW can be installed as an update to an already installed original firmware (OFW) version 4.91.

The installation of the HFW
If you are running original firmware version 4.91, you can easily install this HFW using a USB stick (FAT-32) via the XMB. The recovery menu is not necessary for this.
To avoid errors, you should definitely install OFW 4.91 before installing this HFW, if you haven't already done so. Download here: PS3 Developer Wiki
However, if you have an original firmware version higher than 4.91 installed, you cannot install this version.
