PS3 Hybrid Firmware (HFW)
With PS3 HFW 4.93.1, HEN can be installed on the PS3 console.
This makes it possible to do most of the things that are also possible with Custom Firmware (CFW).

The HFW can be installed as an update to an already installed original firmware (OFW) version 4.93.

The installation of the HFW
If you are running original firmware version 4.93, you can easily install this HFW using a USB stick (FAT-32) via the XMB. The recovery menu is not necessary for this.
